A little bit of Dorset history

As I slowly catch up on the bakeries that I’ve already visited this one I’ve been itching to publish for a while.

Caroline Parkins has owned the bakery for over 18 years now but Leakers is a stalwart shop in Bridport in Dorset. One of those that has “always been there”. Indeed whilst the current building dates from 1830 with the bakery being Victorian there has been a Leakers bakery since some time in the 1600s apparently! How’s that for an old Dorset business?!

With thanks, this time, to Artur, Mathiuz, Pieter and Marcin for allowing me to follow them through the late/early shift back in March last year.
